Preface: David Abrams wrote this January 1, 2015. Like all Disciples of Jesus if David drafted this poem January 1, 2020 it would establish more specific growth. We are all God’s works in progress.
On the Verge of a New Year!
When we travel through another year, It's time to put aside our fear. Let's get excited and start off right, We can begin by turning towards the light. Lights out, center state, Let the spirit from its cage. Set rage aside, let hopes spring new, It's time to gather every clue. To find our goals, our hopes, our dreams, It's far easier than at first it seems. We see that our Father, our Lord above, Brings us all we really need, it's called Love. Or many others turn within, Finding the answers inside is no sin. Blue and red and brown and green, View beauty the likes we have not seen. Icy cold and wet slushy fields, The sun brings warmth and friendship it builds. What matters most it seems to thee, Are friends, and people and family. We need time alone, we need each other, We are all just sisters and all just brothers. So in conclusion let's live free without strife, Let's have some fun and enjoy everyday life.
