The Works of Christ who is the Resurrection, Life (Jn. 11:17-44)

Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God

The Works of Christ who is the Resurrection, Life (Jn. 11:17-44)

Speaker Pastor Dusun Park | Interpreter Tiffany Han

Let us bless and greet one another, “Jesus is the Christ, the son of the living God.”  The title of today’s message is, “The Works of Christ Who is the Resurrection, Life.”  The opposite of “resurrection” means “death,” and the opposite of “life” also means death.  Through today’s scripture on Lazarus’ death, there is a message that Jesus Christ is telling us.  Lazarus was diseased so people asked Jesus Christ to help him, but then Jesus responded, “Lazarus will not die from this sickness, and it is for the glory of God.”  Without a doubt, that is the answer the Lord gave through His Word, and after that point, Lazarus was dead for four days.

1. Martha

  1) Jesus, if you had been here (Jn. 11:21)

Lazarus had two sisters, Martha and Mary, and Martha goes and finds Jesus.  Martha says to Jesus, “Lord, if You had been there, then my brother would not have died.”  But without a doubt, the Lord had already given His answer through His Word, that this sickness will not result in death, and even though God gave His answer through His Word, they again say something else.  When we talk about answers, it’s not about getting whatever we want.  An “answer” is when we are able to know what the Lord desires.

    (1) Lazarus would not have died (Jn. 11:21)

For Martha, her heart is broken and she’s so sad that her brother died, so for her, the “answer” is if her brother had not died.  So, even though the Lord already gave His answer to her through His Word, she looks down on that and says, “Lord, if You had been here my brother would not have died,” and I think most of us are living our walk of faith like this as well.  God is alive right now, and He is working according to His Word, and His Word is the answer itself, but instead, we say, “I don’t want that; Lord, give me what I desire, that’s my answer.”

    (2) Even now, whatever you ask God (Jn. 11:22)

    (3) I know that God will give you (Jn. 11:22)

Then Martha says, “I know that even now, God will give you whatever you ask,” so Martha says, “I know,” a lot.  There’s a difference between knowing and believing.  If you go to church for a long time, then you have a lot of knowledge about the Bible, but you are just knowing it with your rationality.  That has become your knowledge, and you say, “I know this,” however, what you know only has meaning if that turns into faith towards God.  But there are many believers who are like this, they say, “I know the Lord is the Christ, and I know that You are alive,” but do you believe that?  “Well, I don’t know.”  Works follow faith.  Even if you go to a church for a year, you can know, and children who are educated in the church when they are young know so well.  In today’s scripture, Lazarus passed away and the Lord is doing ministry with this family very purposefully.

  2) Jesus

    (1) Lazarus will rise again (Jn. 11:23)

Jesus then said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”  First, He said, “Your brother will not die from this sickness,” but he did die, and then Jesus says, “He will rise again.”

    (2) Martha – Know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day (Jn. 11:24)

And then Martha, knowing so much of the Bible, says, “I know, he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day.”  Again, she says, “I know.”  We must not become believers like that.  First, yes, we do need to know, but it must not end with knowing; we need to go towards believing.

    (3) I am the Resurrection and the Life (Jn. 11:25)

Then the Lord said to her, “I am the Resurrection and the Life.”  Martha really does not know the Lord.  Jesus Christ is revealing Who He is exactly through Lazarus’ death towards this family, that’s why Jesus allowed Lazarus to die on purpose because Jesus says, “I am the Resurrection and the Life.”  “Resurrection” means He overcomes death, that death is not a problem for Jesus Christ, and Jesus Christ is the eternal life.

  3) Those who believe

Do you believe in Jesus like that?  If there is somebody who is sick in the family, the entire family suffers.  If there’s a mental illness in the family, then the entire family suffers so much.  It’s impossible to live a normal or average life.  If there’s one person in the family who has a physical disease or illness, the entire family must be focused on that.  In today’s scripture, Lazarus, who is the man of the household and the financial provider of the household, passes away, so of course, there is the sadness of losing a brother but also the lack of financial stability.  That is why, through the one person who is sick in the family line, God desires to give this entire family faith, because everybody is stuck inside of their diseases and their fear of death, and the Lord desires to restore the faith of this family first.

    (1) Will live even though they die (Jn. 11:25)

“I am the Resurrection and the Life,” and then He says, “Whoever believes in me will live even though they die.”  This means that, after the resurrection, our physical body will be resurrected and we will live again.  After the Lord’s second coming, all the people who have been deceased will come back to life, but Jesus is saying, “Do you believe in that right now?”  If you believe in this, then you will overcome death.  If you overcome death, it means it’s not a problem because you will enjoy eternal life no matter what.  If you have a disease and then that disease goes away, you’re going to die anyway.  That’s not what the Lord is trying to do.  The Lord tells us, “You were born on this earth and you will live a life of maybe 80 to 100 years.”  The Lord did not come to earth to do something about our finite, physical life, but instead to give us eternal life in our spirit.

Psalm 90:12 says the Lord counts the days of my life and gives me wisdom, and then it goes on to say, “Teach us to number our ways and to give us a heart of wisdom.  Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love that we may sing for joy and be glad for all of our days.”  There are people in the world who say the winner gets the last laugh, but that’s not what the Bible tells us.  It says, “Allow us to be satisfied and filled with joy every day because of Christ.” If you wait to be the last one to laugh and then die, you’re going to die not as a victor.  Nowadays, there are very many young people who are dying from heart attacks, they have no other reason, but they die because of a heart attack, so what are you living and waiting for?  Are you working so hard to accomplish what you desire in life? That’s not true life.  Enjoying and believing in Jesus Christ Who is the resurrection Who overcame death and is the Eternal Life, that is the True Life.  Instead of suffering because of the sick or diseased person inside of your family, may this be a chance for you to believe in and enjoy Jesus Christ, Who is the Resurrection and Life. Especially when God allows your family to suffer, it is because, just like Lazarus’ family, Jesus is finding you to give you this blessing.

    (2) Whoever lives by believing – Never die (Jn. 11:26)

Then in Jn. 11:26, Jesus says, “And whoever lives and believes in me will never die, do you believe this?”  You need to answer this yourself, answer in your heart, do you believe that?  If you believe in that, there’s no reason for you to fear or shake in death.  It’s possible that someone in your family may be very sick, but there’s a reason why God allowed that, so that you may believe in Jesus Christ Who is the Resurrection and the Life.  That’s how you overcome the disease.  “Resurrection” means overcoming death.  Jesus Christ’s death on the cross overcomes curses.  Do you really believe that?  If you do believe this, then nothing will ever be a problem.  The Lord allowed Lazarus to die in order to give them this true blessing.

Heb. 12:14-15 says that Jesus Christ has come to earth so that He may break us free from Satan who holds the power of death.  There are some people who live very reckless and hedonistic lives on earth, because they say, “We’re all going to die anyway so let’s do whatever we want.”  There are some people who live on earth today thinking, “I’m never going to die,” no, you will die, so, calculate, “What would happen if I died today?” You cannot live an eternal life with this physical body, then think about, “What glory can I give to God while living on this earth?” If there is a disease or death in the family around you, then believe in the One Who has eternal life.  Do you believe in this?

    (3) Messiah, the Son of God – Believe (Jn. 11:27)

Then Martha responds, “Yes, Lord, I believe You are the Messiah, the Son of God Who has come into the world,” so the Lord was able to restore faith in Martha; we must restore our faith in order for our suffering to go away.  Lazarus resurrecting is not the issue, but it’s whether this family believes that Jesus Christ is the Resurrection and the Life, or not.  Do you and I have that faith? Do you believe that Jesus Christ is the Resurrection and the Life?  Who is Jesus? Do you believe in Jesus as the Light of the World? We need to believe in Jesus Christ Who is the Light of the World because this world is trapped in darkness, that’s how we go into the light.

2. Mary

  1) Martha who received grace bring her to Jesus (Jn. 11:28)

    (1) Mary went to Jesus (Jn. 11:29)

    (2) Saw Jesus and fell at His feet (Jn. 11:32)

So, Martha receives grace from the Lord like this, then she goes and finds her sister Mary and says, “The Teacher is looking for you.” As soon as Mary found Jesus, she fell at His feet and began to worship Him. Mary is a little bit better than Martha because she knows worship. Even though she’s a little bit better, Mary and Martha are very similar.  It’s not that they don’t have faith; they do have faith, but what faith do they lack?  They lack the faith that Jesus Christ is the Life and Resurrection.

    (3) If You had been here, Lazarus wouldn’t have died (Jn. 11:32)

Then Mary says the same thing Martha said, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.”  To God, saying, “If this had happened,” does not work with God, why?  Because the Lord is perfect.  The Lord doesn’t make regrets because He is perfect.  But for us, we are always in regret before our death, saying, “If only I had done this,” or, “If I had done this in my younger years.”  So Martha and Mary were the same way; they didn’t want to die on this earth.  But it’s possible to avoid death.  We might die tonight, death is in the hand of the Lord.  Today, there are new babies being born, and that is in the Lord’s hands as well.  The Lord always does His work very accurately without any flaw or difference.

Then, how will I live today in the span of my limited life and death?  That is how you must pray.  The best way to live is living for the glory of the Lord.  The best way to pray is to pray for the Lord to be glorified.  In Matt. 5, pray that God’s will may be fulfilled on earth as it is in heaven.  The way for you to be happy is for your will to be aligned with God’s will.  What happens if God’s will in heaven is not the same as my will? Then that is actually what makes the devil happy.  You are allowing the devil to come into your life and wreak havoc.  My mind has to be aligned with God’s will and plan.  Your thoughts regarding your business have to align with God’s will.  Your reason for moving and living here has to be aligned with God’s will, then what takes place?  God’s will will be revealed in my life.  God does not give us disasters, God is the One Who gives us blessings, joy, and happiness.  For you and me, it is so simple.  “Lord, I want to know Your will; what is the Word You are trying to tell me?”  And the same prayer when you go out into your field, your school or your job, “Lord, I want to carry out your will today,” that is the best prayer.  Everything else, you might say a lot of words, but it’s all useless because it doesn’t matter how complicated your prayers sound; ultimately, you’re asking to fulfill your own will.  If you are having marital problems, I hope you will pray, instead of saying, “God, make this better,” instead seek God’s will.

  2) Jesus

    (1) Moved in Spirit and troubled (Jn. 11:33)

Now, people are around Jesus crying and lamenting, and it says the Lord’s heart was deeply moved and troubled, and he was very troubled for them.  So, why is it that Jesus waited until Lazarus died, but now He’s being all sad about it? Isn’t it a little weird?  Jesus specifically waited for Lazarus to die before He came, and now, He’s deeply moved in spirit, troubled and weeping, why is that?  Is He playing a prank on them?  God is telling us that Jesus Christ is 100% human. It’s showing that Jesus Christ is sad in front of death, just like us.  So, yes, even though Jesus Christ resurrected and He is seated at the right hand of the throne of heaven, He is still with us, He knows and He feels the deepest suffering inside of us.  The Lord feels and knows exactly how you feel, with the suffering and the diseases and difficulties in your family. Our prayer topic is that this problem goes away quickly, isn’t it?  But those prayers are not answered because God desires for you to know His will and His plan in order for this to happen.  If that’s how you pray, then the Lord begins to answer you.  Either that problem will go away or even if that problem remains, that state will be changed, so it is irrelevant to you now.

Now we have a lot of development in neuroscience.  Before we had these advancements in neuroscience, we thought of everything in terms of our heart, because we didn’t have the science to study the brain yet.  Now that we are able to actually study the brain, the things we used to attribute to our heart and the diseases of the heart, we are seeing are actually a problem with changes in our brain.  They looked at the difference between somebody who receives a lot of stress and someone who is not stressed, and there is a difference in the thickness in the brain.  If someone has a thicker membrane on their brain, then they are able to overcome stress.  However, if the brain is very thin, then that person will be very stressed, so now scientists are studying, how can we thicken the walls of the brain? That’s why they say you need to exercise, because if you exercise your body, it strengthens the brain. So, nonbelievers will say you have to meditate, these are the words of nonbelievers and scientists who say that the brain is the channel between our mental and physical states, so we need to strengthen our brain.  So, when they studied the brains of the people who have mental illnesses, they were able to see the common trait of a thin brain.

But even before we had advancements in neuroscience, the Lord created our brain and already knew our brain. And from the very beginning, He told us to look upon the Lord and open up the Age of Holy Meditation.  Meditate on the fact that the Lord is the Resurrection and He is the Life. Then, exercise. If you have a mental illness, you’re not able to exercise, and that’s why your brain becomes thinner. Because you have a mental illness, you don’t want to leave your house, you don’t have the ability or brain power to move your body.  If you and I are able to correctly restore the faith and the time God has given to us, then our mental problems will be restored and, through this sickness, all of the family members and people around will receive faith in Jesus Christ, and nothing will be a problem. That’s what Jesus desires.

    (2) Where have you laid Lazarus? (Jn. 11:34)

    (3) Jesus wept (Jn. 11:35)

And then He asks “Where did you put Lazarus’ body?”  For the Israelites, they put their tombs into caves that are blocked off by a stone, so if you buy one tombstone or grave, there are generations of families all piled up on each other. In order to prevent the smell, they put fragrance in the tomb.  Then, when the body fully decays, the tomb is just full of bones, and so, they paint the tomb with white limestone, and that is why Jesus actually called the Pharisees, “White-washed tombs,” because they are only clean on the outside but on the inside, they are rotting and decaying, and then Jesus tells them to open the doors of the tomb.  Then, Martha who had just received a little bit more faith, comes back to her original state and says, “By this time, there will be an odor, he’s been in there for four days.” She does not believe the fact that Jesus Christ is the Resurrection and the Life, because she only believes in the scientific facts. There are too many Christians like that, they know so much but they don’t believe. They know Jesus so well, but they don’t believe He is the life or the resurrection. They know Jesus Christ so well because they go to church, but they do not believe that He is the light of the World.

This world is darkness, only Jesus Christ is the Light of the World. When you believe this, then the light will shine.  So don’t think that you know. You can know something just by hearing it once.  Especially if you even analyze or study the Bible in depth, you will gain a lot of deep knowledge.  Though it is important to have deep knowledge, it is more important to know Jesus Christ.  Jesus gives the commands for somebody to move the stone?  Why doesn’t Jesus just move the stone Himself instead of telling someone to do it, isn’t that right? Jesus could have told the rock to move, and it would’ve moved.  Why does Jesus tell us to move the stone?  It means that Jesus is allowing us to participate in His ministry.  Why doesn’t the Lord just run your business instead of you?  Why do you have to study and work?  It’s so that you can participate in the work that God is doing there.

  3) Jesus went to the tomb (Jn. 11:38)

    (1) Take away the stone (Jn. 11:39)

Jesus says to move the stone then He lifts His eyes up to the heavens and says loudly so others can hear, “Thank you God that you heard me,” why does He say this? Jesus says, “I have said this for the benefit of people standing around here so that they may believe that You sent me.” God desires to use one incident to restore the faith of many different people, that’s God’s plan.  God has allowed the problem in your family line and your business to take place, and you want to get rid of that problem quickly, but God allows it to remain, to do what?  So that you may believe Who Jesus Christ is.  God allows the problem to remain in your business so you may see the work that He is trying to do in your business accurately. God allows the problem in your family to persist.  God’s hobby is not allowing problems, but God’s work is, through the problem, you may believe in Jesus Christ.  The way for you to reveal the glory of Jesus Christ is, through your studies and through your job, restore your own faith and share that faith with others around you.

    (2) If you believe, you will see the glory of God (Jn. 11:40)

Then He says,” If you believe in this, you will see the glory of God.”  May you have faith by God’s grace. If you just know this, then the works do not take place.  When you believe in the Lord God Who is alive and working right now, your spirit comes to life, and your eyes to see the field will open.  Life or death will not be a problem to someone who has life.  Nothing is a problem to somebody who has life, because they are alive, and if you remain alive, it means you can overcome all things. If my spiritual state is dead, it means everything else is a problem.

    (3) To believe that God sent Jesus (Jn. 11:42)

    (4) Lazarus, come out! – Commands death (Jn. 11:43, 1 Cor. 15:54-57)

Then the Lord called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” When the Resurrected Lord gives His command through His Word, Lazarus who had died, comes running out of the tomb. Lazarus will die again later, this here is not the reason.  He was dead and then came to life. There are many people where this happens.  There are some situations where somebody is pronounced dead and is put in the casket, but you hear knocking in the casket, so they’re not actually dead. There are many people like that, there are many people who are actually pronounced dead because of their vital signs, and later they come back to life. But what’s the point of coming back to life, they’re going to die eventually anyway. So, Jesus bringing back from the dead is not really the true Resurrection, because he will die again anyways, Jesus only does this so that they may believe Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life. If you believe in Jesus Christ, even death is not a problem for me, and that must become my state.

While I was in the military, I was in the most dangerous place in Korea, and I was in a state where I had to risk my life every single day. Every single day, my life was in danger,  I was stationed in the demilitarized zone, I had to go into enemy territory.  Then what did I have to do in order to just survive?  I was always in a state of fear because I never knew when the enemy would attack or a mine would be set off.  Then, even though I was a nonbeliever and I was so lacking, how do you survive in that situation? You just always have to risk your life.  Then you receive compensation that’s like life insurance because you risked your life for this job, but even still, that fear for your personal death does not go away, and because we’re so afraid to die, people pretend to be so strong.  People pretend and try to become so successful and powerful, thinking that will prevent their death. People do anything they can, however, if you believe in Jesus Christ, you will overcome death because even if you do die, you will not die, you will have eternal life, so even if you do this one thing, you will have success.

3. Jesus Christ who is the Resurrection, Life

  1) Cross – Death, Resurrection (Jn. 19:30)

Nonbelievers are being dragged against their will even now, because of their fear of death, and now that I believe in Jesus Christ, I see how I used to be. Now, I realize that salvation is everything; there’s nothing more that we need.  Now I live the rest of my life for the glory of the Lord; I’m living for the will of the Lord. So, during the time of this scripture reading, Jesus Christ had not died on the cross yet.  So, after Jesus Christ died on the cross for everybody in the world’s sin, what meaning does that have for us?  What meaning does the cross have for us?  When the Lord died on the cross, He died physically, but His spirit did not die.  Because the Lord always exists as life from before time began until after, for eternity.  He came to this earth in the form of a human, and His physical body is crucified and dies on the cross, and takes the burdens of all of our sins and curses.  In 3 days, He overcame death.  What does that mean for us?  Right now, He is alive and He lives inside of me.  Believing in that must become your first thing.  In the past, a problem used to be a problem, but after the Lord lives within me as my life, this problem is now lessened.

    (1) Master of life – With (Gal. 2:20)

Why?  Because Gal. 2:20 says, the Resurrected Lord is living inside of me as my Lord. So we must entrust everything to the Lord, entrust your entire life to the Lord.  Why are you worrying?  Entrust it, entrust it through prayer.  If you entrust it, then the Lord does His work. That’s the state of faith that Christians should have.

    (2) God’s kingdom (Col. 1:13, Ac. 1:3)

Then, the Lord’s Kingdom is established upon me.  We have a new president now, and depending on who the leader is, the entire nation will be different. In the past, I was the master of my own life.  Because I have a limited IQ, I live my life within that standard.  But actually, it turns out that Satan was ruling over and controlling me.  I was always in the midst of fear and anxiety.  However, when the resurrected Jesus Christ comes into me as my life and my Lord, then the One Who is controlling my life is changed, and every single day must begin with that state, then you will realize.  You’ll realize the joy and the happiness, because you are a child of God and you can entrust everything to the Lord in prayer so that He takes care of it for me.

    (3) Filling of Holy Spirit – Authority – Witness to ends of the earth (Ac. 1:8)

Now, He tells us to pray for the filling of the Holy Spirit so that you may be the witness to testify of the Kingdom until the ends of the earth. Christ completely controlling me is the filling of the Holy Spirit.  Then, my life will be moved by God’s hand.  But until the very end, the devil will make you want to live your own life, so that you cannot overcome even death.  However, when the authority and the power of the Lord comes upon you, you will be a witness until the ends of the earth.  I hope you’ll pray, why would you pray for anything else?  You need to pray the prayer that receives answers. Why would you pray a prayer that does not receive answers?  Yes, I’m saying that, nothing doesn’t receive answers, you will receive answers, but it’s just a waste of time.  Whatever you’re worried about right now, I’m not saying it’s wrong, but I’m telling you that the state of your spirit makes you your own master, and that’s what the devil desires.  Before you go to hell, you will experience a hellish life on earth.  This is the hellish life that is happening in America today. Christ must become the master of our lives, Christ must become the Master of our jobs, Christ must become the Master of our families, then God’s Kingdom will be established.  Then, curses, disasters, and the devil will run away. First, seek God’s Kingdom and His righteousness, then everything else will follow you.  That is what you have come to restore through worship today.

  2) Only Prayer/Evangelism

    (1) Works of Holy Spirit – Doors of evangelism (Ac. 2:1-11)

When you are filled with the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit works within you, then you will have the blessings of meeting that God has prepared. The blessing of the people you will meet is not determined by you, because God is the One Who decides the blessings of meeting.  If you keep on meeting people who bring you curses, then that’s a cursed meeting. However, as you remain in prayer, the works of the Holy Spirit take place and open the doors to blessings.  When you pray for your children to do world evangelization, then your children who are now collapsed will come to life through blessings of meaning. We call those doors of evangelism and missions, and you can never create that on your own, even if you graduate from Harvard; only God can do that, that is why I hope you will pray for the work of the Holy Spirit. If you pray not for what you desire, but for the will of the Lord, then it’s so simple.  You use all sorts of methods, strategies, and humanism, don’t you? And you’ll realize that that’s a waste of time.  In order to do that, you have to invest your time, money, and energy, and then you’ll come to realize that all of that is nothing. So before you research all of that, pray that God may be the Master to work upon my family, my business, my field, and studies. God is the One Who can carry out the work of Recreation. He is the One Who can save you from death, He is the One Who can change a disaster to a blessing. And God is the One Who can change your child into a person of blessing.

    (2) Proclaim Gospel – Salvation, Healing (Mk. 16:15-18)

Do you believe that today? If you believe it, then you will see the glory of God. What is the glory of God? It is revealing Jesus Christ’s death on the cross and His resurrection.  Through that, many people will receive salvation and become children of God. When these doors of evangelism and blessings open, then the light will continue to shine. How can I evangelize?  It’s so simple.  When the Holy Spirit works, He will allow you to meet the people whom God has prepared, and if God gives you the blessing of meeting, then you reveal the glory of Christ to them and you heal them so that Christ becomes their Master and Lord. Then, inside of their family, the people with mental illnesses and struggling with addictions will be healed.

    (3) All peoples – Disciple (Mt. 28:19-20)

Where do we take this to?  We take this to all peoples and all nations.  You need to prepare your business and academics to go to all nations to the end of the earth. He promised it to us already with His Word in advance, and the Lord is fulfilling that promise even right now.  The deciding point of that is to testify of the work of salvation.

  3) My works – The Lord’s works

    (1) Guidance of the Lord

    (2) Works of the Lord – Field

    (3) The Lord continues – System of people

So, my work or job is not my work; I am participating in the work of the Lord.  When Jesus tells you to open the doors of the tomb, instead of saying, “I’m too lazy, why are you telling me to do this?” may you participate in the work of the Lord. Instead of complaining of having to work or study, you are participating in the Lord’s work.

Conclusion

1 Morning – Concentrate on covenant (Ps. 5:3)

So, meditate on this Lord in the morning.  Ps. 5:3 says, “In the morning You hear my voice,” because He is the Resurrection and the Life.

2. Day – Guidance of the Lord (Ps. 23:1)

What about in the daytime?  The LORD is my Shepherd.  We receive the guidance of the Lord Who is our Master.  How can you live a good life in the daytime?  Follow the guidance of the Lord. You make it so that the Lord becomes your shepherd and you ask Him all things, then you will lack nothing; that’s what will happen.

3. Night – Receive answers (Ps. 17:3)

Then what about at night?  Psalm 17:3 says, “Though you probe my heart and examine me at night, though you test me, you will find nothing; I have resolved that my mouth will not sin.”  Think back to the interactions with people you’ve had and the words you’ve heard or said, then come to an answer within the Word of God.  Let’s say for example, you said something to someone you shouldn’t have, then restore that in God’s Word, so that you’ll never sin again.

Finally, I want to tell you that our relationship with people is within God’s Word.  The Bible tells us that the law of Christ is loving God and loving other people as if they are yourself. How can you work well?  It doesn’t matter how many books you read, because that will always change.  However, if you prioritize all of your thinking to wonder, “How can I benefit and help my customers and clients as a first priority?” then that is the respect you’ll get in return.  The reason why people fall and crumble even after they succeed is they have never learned how to use their success to benefit society.  If you’re having a difficult time because of society and people, it’s because you are treating them however you want. If there’s difficulty within your family, it’s because you’re treating your family however you want. But the Lord tells you to love other people as if they are yourself, and in the language of nonbelievers, “Respect other people and you will be respected.”  The only way to do that is to receive the grace of the love of the cross.  If you are existing for the primary focus of benefitting and helping the people around you, at your job, your clients, then you will receive that in return. Then, when you pray, “What does it mean to do that?” you’ll realize.

“Am I working and running my business so I can keep trying to rip off more money from them and pocket it, or am I running my business to genuinely benefit more people?” That result will be displayed in your business because it is God’s Word.  If you are considerate and helpful to others by having intercessory prayer for them, then those answers will return to you. The reason why churches are closing their doors and Christians have no strength in the world is that they are always trapped, thinking only of themselves.  All of the people in your life who are connected with you, you need to be considerate of them first for their benefit, then without a doubt, that will come back to you.  Especially in Korea, many politicians receive success without learning this, so the entire nation is in an uproar. Because people are focused on, “I need to study well, I need to crush all of the competition and succeed,” when they get into a position of success, they destroy everything. That’s not a healthy nation. They succeeded only thinking that they have to study well, they only know about themselves.  So, there’s no consideration or respect for other people; they are always attacking and killing.

Then, what does the church do?  We need to change that, that’s what you and I need to do inside of the field, immediately in the church.  Then, without a doubt, you will receive that in return.  If your children go out into the world without learning this, they will always be beaten up by people. They don’t teach this in schools or anywhere, this is only in God’s Word.  Inside of the church, learn how to be considerate of other people, with your prayers, words, and actions, and you’ll receive an answer in return. When you leave, pretend like you recognize me, you pretend like you don’t know me, but that means other people out in the world will ignore you.  I’m giving you one tip.  I don’t want to hear you say, “I received a lot of grace today,” but still, it’s about being considerate about other people.  Always put this into practice, then it will come back to you. May you have victory.
