God’s Flow and Satan’s Flow (Isaiah 60:1-3)

Good evening remnants, I hope you are excited for the word of God. You guys might not realize it but when you listen to God’s word there’s something changing inside of you. That’s why it’s so amazing. You guys are here listening to God’s word. You don’t have to believe it, God Works that way. It turns out that God has a specific flow in the word. If you know what this flow is you have the answer to your entire life. Before we talk about God flow, let me ask. Why do you believe in Jesus? Think about it, why do you believe in Jesus? We have all these different reasons that we believe in Jesus. I was talking to my friend, he was doing ministry with some Muslims. They are actually Afghanistan refugees. And because they are Muslim they  also believe In Jesus. They say Jesus is the prophet. And you know Easter was a couple days ago, and the Muslims believe Jesus died but didn’t come back to life. 

So even though they believe in Jesus they don’t completely believe in Jesus. There’s still something that’s missing. So I hope you know the reason why you really need Jesus. To understand that, we need to understand God’s flow. And if you’re taking notes it’s good to turn it sideways. 

In Genesis 1:1 God created the heavens and the earth, and God created humans in a very specific way. In Genesis 1:26, it says “let us make man in our own image” this means God gave the word. He created the world with the word. So whenever God says something, that’s what is going to happen, and just like that something happened. What did we read in Genesis 1:27? That word was fulfilled. He created mankind in his own image. So whatever God says, it will happen. 

And once that word is given, what happens next? There’s a blessing. I’m Genesis 1:28, God blessed them and said to them be fruitful and multiply, increase in number and subdue it. This is God’s flow. This means this is how God works and there’s a way to remain in God’s flow. 

That’s Genesis 2:17, it’s what we call the covenant. God told Adam and Eve “do not eat from the tree of knowledge and good and evil, for when you eat of it you’ll surely die.” So if this were all that there was then life would be great. But the problem is there’s Satan. And Satan also has a flow. 

Do you know who Satan is? In the very beginning m, Satan tried to attack God’s flow. You see this is Isaiah 14:12-15. Do you know what this verse said? It says “oh how you have fallen, you morning star, sun of the dawn,” because it says in your heart You said “I will ascend to the throne of most high”  and he was cast down to this earth. So Satan tried to against God. 

It also says in Rev. 12 : 7-9. It says that there was a great war in Heaven. So these devils and Satan were fighting with Michael and his archangels. But Satan lost. And it also says that Satan, the ancient serpent, was hurled to the earth. So then, if Satan couldn’t fight with God, what could he do? Since he couldn’t fight with God directly, he attacked God’s work. We see this in Gen. 3: 1-6. What happened? People sinned against God. Satan was like “You don’t have to listen to God, you can be god yourself” so Esther gets really mad at me a lot, especially when we have to work together on something, she would get mad at me alot. Because she has a clear idea of what she wants, and how to get there. And she expects me to follow exactly what the plan is. And you guys know how things work, sometimes things don’t go according to plan. 

One time we were here at church, and we both didn’t have a lot of time, and we were going to make lunch for church the next day. And there  were so many different things we had to do. I was like “oh we don’t have time, I have to go and get things” and then i was like “if I go quickly, I can be back do it doesn’t mess up her schedule” so I just went and I didn’t tell her and I got back, and she was mad. 

And up until now I didn’t really understand why she was mad, because she’s not late for anything, I got back in time, we can still go with the plan and it just kinda went a little bit different. So I had to think about it, and I brought it before God. I was like, “why is she upset” and I meditated on this, and the covenant. If I really care about what somebody says, I’m going to listen to their words exactly. If I really care about that other person and how they feel, it’s not really about “oh we are going to end up in the same place, the plan still works” do I care about how that person feels, that’s what’s different. 

What about Adam and Eve, at this point they didn’t care about how God felt. They were just like “oh I don’t know I can be like God” that’s why in Hosea 6:7, “as of Adam they were unfaithful to me there, they have broken the covenant” and that’s what happened. 

Because we don’t care about God so where do we end up? We will call this satan’s seed, it’s the seed of Genesis 3 because of our sin. In Isaiah 59:2 our iniquities have separated us from our God. Now I am stuck here and I only think about myself. I kinda care about how other people feel but only to the extent of how they make me feel. I don’t really care about other people, it is a selfish kind of care for other people. The problem of Genesi 6: 1-6 Do you know about the age of the Nephilim? People married whoever they wanted and ran after the beautiful. That’s the age of the nephilim; it is completely physical and materialistic so in Gebies 11 we see the tower of Babel.

People only care about being famous or successful. No matter how famous or successful people are, they aren’t happy. So many movie stars get into scandals and lawsuits. So many Tiktokers die for stupid reasons. Like I heard that one tiktoker died from a cough syrup overdose. I don’t know if you know, but if you drink too much cough syrup, you die. Why would they do that? They don’t have a choice. They’re stuck with Satan’s seed. And this seed bears roots. 

Acts 13: 8-12, a story about shamanism. The shaman was actually controlling the government,  all the leaders of the world. why? In order to get to that level, you need some sort of superpower. If you don’t have power, how are you going to lead people? Have you thought about that? You guys are remnant leaders. Not Anyone can be a leader. How can that word about being a leader be fulfilled in your life? You need some extra power. Non-believers have figured this out. That’s why they do transcendental meditation. And they receive all the evil spirits that come into them. They have the ability to concentrate. Then they use their power to enslave people.

That’s what’s happening right now. Other people fall into fortune telling. Acts 16 talks about a girl who was a demon possessed fortune teller. Now maybe you don’t believe in fortune tellers today, but science acts as a good proxy or replacement for fortune telling. The more you can figure out how the world works, the more you can control the world. And that’s what this is about. The world is about whether you control the world and are controlled by it. And so we see that people are completely seized, and studying science. They think about technology, the fourth Industrial revolution. 

It’s not just that but in Acts 19:8-20, it talks about idol worship. What is idol worship? In Colossians 3:5 it says that idol worship is greed. I worship idols and pray religiously so I can get what I want. And the more I do these three things, the more I study for science, worship and pray to idols, the more I get strengthened. But what’s the result of this? There’s a sprout.

First, John 8:44, it says you belong to your father the devil, and you want to carry out your fathers desires. I want to do what Satan wants me to do, I don’t care about other people. I’m stuck and follow only Satan. There’s a special kind of darkness that comes only in the evening. I don’t know if you’ve experienced it. Right before you go to sleep, there’s a restlessness inside of you. Instead of wanting to sleep, I’ll want to do something else. And then, I’ll end up sleeping two hours later. Maybe I’m watching a show or reading something. And then, I’ll wake up really late. Or my alarm goes off and I’m really tired. This is a darkness that most people feel. If not you, definitely your friends suffer from it. 

I’m getting to the point where a lot of my friends are starting to have kids. And they talk about all the problems the kids have. And the one thing they ask prayers for is for their kids to have friends to give them the gospel. I hope you’ll enjoy that blessing of relaying the gospel to your friends. Because your friend’s parents are praying for you. There’s a darkness in this world. And everyone kind of knows about it. But people don’t really know the answer. They don’t have the solution, because they’re living in the darkness. They’re children of the devil. 

1 Cor. 10:20 says that food offered to idols is participating in demon worship. When you worship idols, there are demons that enter your heart. It may not be a physical idol. It can be a beautiful idol or another ideological idol. When you get into a relationship there is the danger of idolizing the person. You may think this person is so amazing or perfect. It is all lies, that is me idolizing that person. It is me idolizing them and I am lifting up other people so evil spirits come. The reason relationships fail is because one day you will see that person as not awesome anymore and see that they are a jerk. Then you will fight and that’s it. There is no solution. I hope you don’t worship people. 

I’m Mark 5, it talks about a crazy person who lives in a graveyard. This guy had superpower strength and people tried to tie him down but he broke free from all of his chains. And so when Jesus came to him, he was like “What do you want with me, Son of the Most High God?” He was completely crazy. He was foaming at the mouth. Ultimately Jesus cast out a thousand of evil spirits from this guy. And in verse 15 he was sitting there with his right mind. 

There are so many mental problems today. You see Shootings, and things are getting worse. What’s the solution to that? Do we need better gun control laws? Yea, that can remove the guns from America, maybe. But it isn’t going to solve this fundamental problem. People are still going to go crazy, people are still going to be addicted to drugs. That’s why the only solution is to solve this problem. 

Right after this story there’s another story about a woman who had a bleeding problem and was healed. It says that this lady was ailing for years. She went to every single doctor, she spent all of her money, trying to solve this physical problem. Ultimately she makes this resolution, “I just have to touch Jesus’ cloak and I’ll be healed” because she knows who Jesus is. She knows it is only Jesus who can save her. 

So what happens is, Jesus Christ is walking around in a crowd of people. Back before COVID there were crowds of people, and you’re like right up to other people, you can’t even move. It’s at that time that the lady reaches out and touched Jesus’ cloak. And Jesus was like  “Stop, who touched me?” And Peter was like “Dude you’re like surrounded by people, everyone is touching you, what are you talking about” and Jesus was like “who touched me” and eventually this lady comes out, and what does Jesus say to her? “Your faith has healed you” 

What kind of healing can faith do? If I have an infection I need to take some antibiotics, then my antibiotics healed me. If I have some sort of cough, and I take some cough syrup then the cough syrup heals me. But what kind of disease can be healed by faith? When I see that my physical problem has a spiritual root, that’s when all of my problems can be solved. But without seeing this there’s Hebrews 9:27.

Ultimately in the end I am destined for hell and judgment. In Exodus 20:4-5 my problems will be passed down to the next generations. The problem right now is that God’s flow is blocked. I am stuck right here, and is God just going to leave me to suffer? God gave us the word even from the very beginning and it is with His word that he saves us. In Genesis 3:15 God promised the offspring of the woman. In Exodus 3:18 God gave the command to give a blood sacrifice. In Isaiah 7:14. A virgin shall conceive and bear a son and his name will be Immanuel. I am longer separated from God these are the prophecies to break satan’s flow and it was fulfilled. 

When was it fulfilled? You need to know who Jesus is and know the reason why you believe in Jesus. Who is Jesus? Jesus is the Christ. If you know the correct reason for why Jesus is the Christ then all your problems will be solved. The crazy thing about this is in Matt 16:17. After Simon Peter makes a confession of faith Jesus says Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. It means this is a blessing when I am able to confess that Jesus is the Christ that is the greatest blessing. How is it a blessing? The reason Jesus Christ had to come is to block this. Jesus Christ is the true king who defeated Satan on the cross. In 1 John 3:8 the reason the son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work. From the pulpit message Hebrews 2:14 Jesus Christ set us free from the power of Satan who had the power of death. Jesus Christ gave his life as a ransom for our sin and opened up the way to meet God so when we believe that this word is fulfilled then we understand who Jesus Christ is. He is the true king, true priest and the true prophet. 

Rom. 6:4-5 tells of what Jesus’ death means to me. When you are baptized, you are baptized with him into his death. Through Jesus Christ’s death, Satan’s power over me is broken. And I can enjoy the power of the blessing of being with God. Heb. 1:3 tells us where Jesus Christ is right now. Yes, Jesus Christ is in our hearts. Where else is Jesus? He is seated at the right hand of God. Jesus Christ died and he rose again. All so he can resolve the covenant with us. Because the covenant is restored, God’s flow is restored in my life. It turns out God always works In this way. 

In John 19:30, it is finished. What was finished? The things that were departing me from God. He restored this covenant in my life. He completely broke Satan’s flow. But what does that have to do with me? Romans 6:4-5 tells us about what Jesus’ death means for me. It says that when we are baptized, we are baptized with him into death. Through Jesus Christ’s death, Satan’s power over me is broken. And then I can enjoy the blessing of being with God. Hebrews 1:3 tells us where Jesus is right now. I mean yes, Jesus Christ is in our hearts, but where else is in Jesus? It says he is seated at the right hand of God. Jesus Christ died and arose again. All because he can restore this covenant with us. Because the covenant is restored, God’s flow is restored in my life. 

It turns out that God always works in this way. Sometimes we say it like, Acts 1:1, it says, “In my former book Theophilus I wrote about all the things Jesus began to do and teach” what did Jesus do? He did the work of Christ. That’s why I believe in him. There’s no other reason to believe in Jesus Christ. 

Buddhist will say Buddha saved me. Sometimes people say “I believed in this God and suddenly I became happy, I bowed down to this idol and went to the grocery store and won a million dollars from a lottery ticket” people believe in gods for all these different things, people believe in Jesus for all these different things. But when I see that only Jesus Christ can block Satan’s  flow in my life, by being my true king, priest, and prophet, that’s when all of my problems are finished. That’s why God’s flow is restored through Jesus  Christ. 

From there, we see Acts 1:3, Jesus taught about the things pertaining to the things of God. This rightfully follows. And in Acts 1:8, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you” this is how God works. And all you have to do is believe. But even believing itself is a gift. I’m going to show you something that may help you understand how the Bible works. The entire Bible follows this flow. For example, we can look at Ephesians 2:8, “for it is by grace you have been faith through faith not by work so no one can boast” so it is by grace you have been faith, through faith, not by work so no one can boast. So it ends up in verse 10, we are God’s workmanship created to do good works prepared for us long ago. The entire Bible follows this flow. 

I’ll give you another example, 2 Corinthians 5:17, it says we are a new creation. Therefore if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation. When I have Christ  new, because Christ does this, I’m no longer stuck. And because I’m within God’s flow there’s something God desires. It talks about the ministry of reconciliation. 

So remember how we broke our covenant? It’s like whenever I get Esther really mad, there’s some sort of reconciliation that takes place afterwards, and our relationship gets better. We live in a broken world. A world that needs to be reconciled to God. But there’s only one way. It’s by being the new creation through only Christ. 

Then what does it say? In 2 Corinthians 5:20, it says we are Christ’s ambassadors. That means we represent Christ. Other times we feel “oh I can’t do bad things because I’m a Christian, man I wish I can be a better Christian, I have to be more happy all the time, I’m afraid of people judging me” 

These are thoughts that come from Satan. You don’t need those things you hold onto only Christ. Reconciliation and being Christ ambassadors naturally follows. The thing is it is only in the New Testament but also in the Old Testament. I will make this wick because we went over time. In Genesis 12 do you know about the call of Abraham? The Lord said to Abraham to leave his fathers household and said He would bless him. In Genesis 12: 3 all nations will be blessed to you. This is the same blessing that Jesus gave to us in Matt 28. How does Matt 28:18-20  start? Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’” The entire Bible follows this flow. 

If I don’t start here then I start somewhere else. I specifically start here and the worst part is that many Christian start here. They think they can be good people, good works will save them, praying and reading their Bible a lot will save them and having good thoughts will save them but none of these things can. There is a trap a lot of churches put on people. They tell you about the kingdom of God, faith, reconciliation, repairing relationships, blessings, making disciples, being a blessing, Holy Spirit and works arising.

We talk about being Christ ambassadors and going into all nations. There’s so many churches that talk about these things. And a lot of them start from here, they don’t really talk about Christ, and because it starts from here all these problems come out. I’ll give you one example, I have this friend who’s been doing ministry for a long time, the main thing for his ministry is I have to show love and care for others. And so he will go out and do homeless ministry for example. And the thing is when somebody says they will receive Jesus Christ then everyone is really happy right? But if someone keeps on resisting saying “no I don’t want to believe in Jesus Christ” then I get really upset. Why is that? Because I’m focused on myself and my time schedule. If my life starts from here I can do all these wonderful things and say amen to a bunch of churches, but it’ll all going to end up with this. 

I need the correct reason for believing in Christ. I need to start from here. And it’s not that I do it, God does it. All of this stuff is impossible for me to do, this is a work God is doing. So remember God works through his word. So the very fact that you are sitting here listening to God’s word means God is working with you. And overtime this flow will be established in your life. And the Bible will become alive for you, you’ll see the flow. The word will become fulfilled and you’ll be a blessing to all people. 

Prayer 

Let us pray. 

Lord Jesus, you are the Christ the son of the living God, Lord we believe you solved all of our problems, I pray that you will bless the remnants, may they know the reason why they believe in Jesus. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen. 

First let’s pray for the remnants, both here at church and the remnants who couldn’t make it, let’s pray for the remnants who are worshiping from out of state or from far away. Let’s pray for the remnants. 

The next thing we pray for is worship both for remnant day tomorrow and pulpit message on Sunday. Just like the message that we received God flow is that He gives us the word first then fulfills the word. Let’s pray for the forces of darkness to be bound so remnants can worship tomorrow. Let’s pray for Pastor Park who is going to deliver the Sunday pulpit message. Let’s pray.

The last prayer topic we are going to pray about before we praise is missions. I know a lot of the remnants think that missions and evangelism is not something that they do, I know when they think about giving the gospel to their friends they are like “no I don’t want to” but this is the mission God has brought you here for. So we have a lot of mission fields at the church but then also there’s a missions conference in May that pastor park and others will go to. Yes, let’s pray for missions and evangelism. Let us pray.
