Lifestyle of the Evangelist – Whole Heart

Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God

Lifestyle of the Evangelist – Whole Heart

Speaker Pastor Dusun Park | Interpreter Tiffany Han

Introductory Prayer

God, we thank You.  May the evangelist’s lifestyle become our life. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

Lifestyle of the Evangelist

There’s a lifestyle that naturally comes from being within the covenant.  This is the training that goes a little beyond the Way of Salvation, it’s for those who want to have continuation with the Way of Salvation. Anyone could deliver the Way of Salvation, but how could we continue that in our lives? We have to receive that answer.

Only Christ (John 19:30)

Everyone knows we need Jesus, He is the Savior, but Jesus Christ must come as the answer of my life. To do this, you need to know the problem of life.  Christ must be my answer.

Sin, Satan, Curse

Answer to what? The six states of the unbeliever come because these problems aren’t finished, we have no choice but to follow Satan and worship idols because humans have no method. Whether we have ideologies or greed, God is not their answer, so they have no choice but to have something else go in.  They have no choice but to go into mental or physical problems, future generation problems, and eternal problems.

We say Jesus, but what about Jesus? It must truly hit me with conviction that Jesus Christ is the solution to all problems in my life so I confess only Christ.  This must be my start. If this isn’t your start, you have to live a religious life to solve your problems.  You need to relay this answer but you cannot, so you cannot begin the life of the evangelist. It’s very simple.

God tells this to us through the Bible, then what do I have to let go of?  My self-centeredness. How can I change my thoughts to God’s thoughts? I have to change it with God’s Word, then I won’t be centered on material things because then I’m centered on Christ. Christ is the solution to all problems, be centered on this, then it’s okay because Jesus is the Christ.  Maybe it will be a benefit to you, it’s okay, you don’t have to be happy because Jesus is the Christ, and it doesn’t matter if you benefit or lose.  Jesus is the Christ and that never changes. If something good happens, does that mean I’m more a child of God?

God’s Kingdom

When the gospel goes into Satan’s kingdom, things will collapse.

Only Holy Spirit

You must be within the covenant.   Paul would spend three weeks talking about only Christ and the Kingdom of God, and then he left.  This is when the kingdom of Satan was broken down, and only through this may people be changed from God’s Kingdom to the Kingdom of God.

Matthew 12:28 says that if evil spirits are cast out by the Holy Spirit, then the Kingdom of God has come upon you.  You testify of this, through the Holy Spirit, and that’s prayer. Holding onto this, you’re constantly praying. If you’re within the covenant, you constantly pray as you’re in the covenant and you set a time to pray for the covenant. Or you hold onto this covenant 24 hours a day and pray.

It’s good to memorize and relay the Way of Salvation, but is Christ your answer?  It’s possible to give the Way of Salvation without the answer, then you can’t continue.  You have to relay this otherwise it’s not the answer. You will lose the life of the evangelist.  We should enjoy these blessings our whole life, God the Son, God the Father, and God the Holy Spirit; we are enjoying the Triune God. What would we need other than God?

What does God want?  God is the Creator Who moves everything, and that God is the Triune God, so it’s the Trinity. You have the answer of Christ.  You even received the mission of the kingdom of God through the Father God through the Word. Only the Holy Spirit through prayer.

Heavenly Mandate, Calling, Mission

You don’t have a choice, this is mandatory, that God will absolutely do this.  That’s why you live according to today’s calling in God’s Kingdom.

What mission do I live for in this life? Every church is different, and that life mission is connected with the church as the reason God gives me the Word every week.

Rightful Necessary Absolute

Why do you face a problem? It’s rightful. Did you get cancer all of a sudden? It means you live without enjoying God’s covenant, so you worry. Why must it be now? It came right now, not yesterday but today. It was necessary for it to come now, then what must we do?  You must find God’s unchanging plan.  Quickly go into the covenant.

Do you have cancer?  The doctor may be able to cut it out or fix it, but does that mean you won’t get cancer again? It’s rightful.  You’re constantly stressed and worried; get rid of that. What’s God’s absolute plan there?  Go into only Christ and change so you live only for the Kingdom of God.  That God has an unchanging, absolute plan.

Do you have a problem?  Why did it happen right now?  What should have come has come, then what’s God’s plan in this?  You need to live this evangelist’s lifestyle to not get caught up in it. It’s not enough to go to church. If you give the Way of Salvation to someone else, that doesn’t make you an evangelist.  You can’t continue just with that.

So, if you understand the Way of Salvation, you understand the pulpit message, then you must have training.  The reason I’m telling you this is because you also have to receive training, but you must also lead others to receive training. But after doing all this, many ministers don’t understand so I have to say everything again for them to realize.

If there’s a multiethnic person who knows the Way of Salvation and the pulpit message, bring them here to level up, but if you don’t personally don’t know what this means, you’re facing a problem and it’s rightful, but you say silly things, “I believe in Jesus Christ; why do I face problems?” The problems are rightful, it’s the result that came because it’s outside of God’s covenant, and God’s plan is to restore the covenant even now. You must enjoy this and relay it. Resolve everything through God’s Word and prayer.

One Heart

You live to declare this.  If your life is complicated, you do this and that, meaning you don’t have the answer yet. Everything is within Christ so you are speaking unnecessary things.  The fact that everything is within Christ means everything comes from enjoying and relaying Christ.  “Oh, I know and enjoy Christ, but I don’t think evangelism is for me,” that means you don’t enjoy Christ at all.

You may understand Jesus with your brain but you don’t really believe, you think evangelism is irrelevant.  One heart, no reason to shake. You finish it with Christ, there’s no need to be influenced by the words of people, but only Christ.  My status never changes; it doesn’t matter what people say or not say, my status will not change.

Whole Heart

Go all in, with your whole heart.  Don’t go little by little.  If it’s really God’s plan, do it with all your heart, all-in. You can give your entire life because that’s God’s will.  When we gamble, we’re sure we win and we can go all in.  When do we give our lives? If this is God’s plan, we give our entire life towards that, but not having discovered that, we stake our lives on unnecessary things and live unnecessary, diligent lives by ourselves. We give everything to raise our kids and making money, but it’s a completely unnecessary life.

I’m giving rides to my daughter for school and I dread doing this for many years moving forward. I think we should change to a school that’s within walking distance. It’s super annoying because I do it every morning and afternoon, “If I had a second kid, what would happen?” Then someone told me, that’s the life of an American. I’m not saying that’s bad, this is physically necessary, but if you give your whole heart into that life, then your life is over.

Did God bring me to America to drive around?  I have to raise the remnant, and that’s why I drive. Parents have a self-centered idea about their kids, so their kids stab them in the back. I must give my entire life for God’s plan and the covenant, but if I say, “My child,” then that’s me.  What kind of masterpiece must you have?  Her dad drove her, and she knows. That’s the masterpiece. That child will think they grew up on their own very well.  The masterpiece.

This is the remnant. Even if you’re disobedient, you’re a remnant.  “How many times did you pray today?” “Three times.” “Good job, one day you will pray continuously and do world evangelization.”  Even as we pray and drive, whole heart, otherwise there’s no life.  Why would I live like that?  Otherwise I shouldn’t have kids, but why did God allow me to have a child? To raise up disciples and do world evangelization.  Then, driving isn’t wasted time. Whole heart.

Acts 2:42

Not just prayer, but they held onto the covenant of the Lord and devoted themselves to prayer. You think prayer is an action, they gathered together and did overnight prayer, or they yelled or prayed on their knees. Then what would happen if they have jobs? You can’t gather if you’re not working. What does this mean? It means they went whole heart into the covenant, 24 hours.  They were just holding onto that covenant and were centered on it, then it’s the same in the field or the church.

How could it be the same in the church and the field, if they don’t study or work in church?  The covenant is the same and hold to that. That’s prayer. Then you’ll be able to pray even if you don’t mutter with your breath or do strange acts, that’s the whole heart we’re talking about, 24 hours. That’s what it’s saying.

So don’t go and play, do 24 hours.  Why would you live a failing life? Going to play is not going to play, but if you’re holding onto the covenant, that’s missions and evangelism.  You must always have this.  You’re pretending to go and play but you’re actually going to do missions and evangelism, holding to the covenant.  What is a religious life?  You receive the Word in church and say okay, but in the field you say, “I have to act better because I’m a Christian and I have to speak more carefully,” that’s religion.

You hold onto God’s covenant and take that covenant into the field, that’s a Christian.  There are many people who aren’t Christian.  Where must we always give our lives? In the covenant, then it doesn’t matter where you are.  God’s result will always go according to the covenant.  Even if you can’t see it right now, if you’re holding to the covenant, then the result will come undoubtedly because it’s not something I create, but it’s God’s covenant.

The church officers hold to the covenant in this region, and we gather together and meet again. If you’re alone, do you lose strength? Hold onto this covenant alone as well.  If you hold onto something else while you’re alone and only hold to the covenant when you’re gathering with people, it’s not bad but you can’t continue. If you only receive grace and hold to the covenant when you listen to the pastor, and lose hold of the covenant alone, you have no continuation.

Hold to the covenant and influence your family line, how? You must confirm this covenant every morning when you wake up.  It’s not because people are lacking, but they rely on others to help.  If we gather together, we receive strength, or lose strength while alone? Confirm the covenant. Wake up early in the morning and confirm the covenant.  Then when you go into the field of your business, take the covenant as is.  We call that one heart, whole heart.

Of course, yes, there’s a time schedule where you’re not deeply rooted enough so you shake back and forth, but you need to know the standard you’re aiming for.  You must be able to at least realize that one day, through me, the gospel may be relayed.  But without this image, you have to look for help from others.  You have to finish this with the pulpit message. You hold to the covenant every day in the week, and if it’s hard to maintain it every day, we have Wednesday and Friday night worship to be constantly rooted in God’s covenant.

1 Samuel 17:29

He is saying, “What have I done now?” and he was going to go face Goliath. In other words, he had the reason for which he staked his life. He isn’t staking his life for no reason; he’s able to stake his life because he has his reason within the covenant.  You can’t stake your life without the covenant.  Back in those times, the wars were religious. Today, religion is money. Back then, the different nations had their own beliefs and would fight religious wars.  You have to understand that to know the reason David went out.

Right now, Goliath is mocking the name of the LORD, it is a war where the Philistine god Dagon was mocking the LORD.  David staked his life on this. Staking your life on anything else is a wasted life.  “Can’t I even speak?” It means he found the reason. God’s words never fall to the ground. “I will block that mouth and elevate the name of the LORD.”  It has nothing to do with the nation, but it’s the name of the LORD, and that’s where “Whole heart” comes from.  I said this earlier, but in order for you to do 24 hours, whole heart on the covenant, you must first know the covenant.

1 Chronicles 16:9

“Whole heart.” I just want do whatever I want for the Lord? That makes no sense. You need to receive the reason for this unchanging covenant of God to stake your life.  Everyone stakes something different for Temple Construction. Someone in Korea offered to sell their own eyeball for Temple Construction because eyeballs are expensive. Is that person crazy? Do you think they said it as a joke?

They discovered the reason, “I have to do this; this is all I can do.” Did he take out this God-given eye?  Even before you take out your eye, God pours His blessings upon you.  “Does that mean I should copy what he did?” You don’t have the absolute reason; it’s not something you can imitate.  Why must I give for Temple Construction? Only those who have the reason will continue.

There was a young adult who gave something like, $20 million dollars.  This building is $15 million dollars. It’s more than someone can make in a lifetime, so they gave everything towards Temple Construction.  $300 million dollars. It’s so much money.  $3 billion for Temple Construction.  Why can they give their entire selves like that?   They had a reason, they discovered why they must give their entire lives for this.

David staked his life, so that’s honestly more than $3 billion.  He discovered the reason.  The remnants have to discover the reason for these works to take place.  You must find the absolute reason for God to stake your life.  People who win Nobel Prizes stake their lives.  It’s not that they stumbled upon a discovery because they’re so brilliant, but they discovered their reason to get the prize.

When can we do “whole heart”?  We stake our lives when that reason is hooked into us. It’s not just the Temple, but it’s the Temple to save the 237 nations and to make disciples of all nations.  It is the Temple that will fulfill the word to go to all nations, the Temple to feed the next generation.  The Temple that will raise people up and send them out to do this movement again.

We have to change the remnants into evangelists.  If this temple construction is for that covenant, then you’re bound to spill your life for this.  No need to worry if you’re not giving much, but you must know the reason for your life and stake your life.  That’s “Whole Heart.” This evangelist staked their lives for evangelism for 40 years, do you think he did that with his diligence? It was God’s blessing.  You think of evangelism as an action, but it must first be the covenant in your heart. Actions simply follow as the covenant.

I’m limited in the evangelism fields I can go to, but every single morning when I wake up, I always pray for God’s evangelism in my today. Sometimes it doesn’t happen, but whenever I go into a Darakbang meeting, I go in with this heart, whether it’s in-person or online. The covenant in my heart will bear fruit in God’s time schedule, otherwise I have to keep chasing things down.

If this is the time schedule for you to chase something, then go, but if you do that because you don’t have the answer, you can’t handle standing still, stand firm in the covenant. That’s the evangelist’s life.  Without knowing this, you only understand evangelism as the act of evangelizing, then you can’t have the evangelist’s life. Everyone has a time schedule, it doesn’t happen all at once, but it’s like this.

Acts 20:24

The reason Paul was able to go all in with his whole heart was because he considered his life worth nothing to him, so he could go testify of the gospel.  That grace and reason had to come to Paul. If someone is a thief, they have a reason to steal, and even if they are sent to prison, they will do it again because that person has a reason to steal.  People go gather ginseng, they have to go, they can’t stop themselves.  Once a year, they might find ginseng, why do they go? Because they have a reason to believe.

Was Noah crazy to build the Ark every day?  Do you think he just endured it with his good actions because God told him to do it? You can’t continue that way. Maybe after a few months? Someone can live uprightly for a few months but they’ll decide they have to do this, and religious people can’t express things outwardly, so you endure but you explode.

How can you sustain this for decades? How can you continuously do evangelism with one heart, with your whole heart, for 40 years? Noah knew the reason and saw in advance that if you lose hold of the gospel, you will have disasters. That’s why he had the reason.  That’s why even today, in our three todays, he explained his reason as he built his Ark.

Everyone thought he was crazy building the Ark on the mountain, not by the sea.  Others will die of disasters because they cannot see the field, and that person who said those words were in the middle of dying.  They are under the misconception they are okay because they have savings, but one day they will face spiritual problems and it’s already too late, once you get caught with mental problems.  Noah constantly talked about this.

Nowadays, there’s no one dying from floods, there are spiritual disasters invisible to our eyes.  What is that disaster? Did anyone die from mountains collapsing? It’s a spiritual disaster in America, and until the covenant goes in, the devil will destroy people mentally and physically, destroying families.  But if you don’t know this at all and say foolish things, “There are so many words in the Bible, why do you only talk about evangelism?”

In Noah’s age, Noah seemed abnormal, but when God’s time schedule came, everything changed.  Whole heart.  Why must we stake our lives on this covenant? We must see the field, if you cannot see the field, you can’t stake your life.  If everyone in the field is living and eating well, you can’t stake your life. You have to see the field.  The remnants must be able to confirm that the field is dying.

You can’t learn this from education, you must accurately and surely confirm this in the field; otherwise you can’t see the field. Then, it doesn’t matter how much theory or knowledge you have, you’ll force yourself to endure and you’re just pretending. That’s not right. You need to see the reason the world is dying.  You have to confirm in the field from God’s Word why the rich and poor are both dying.

Remnants are surrounded by the youth but you must see their parents.  America right now is not just America, but you have to study the history to recognize the current state.  See your friends’ parents to see their state, because your friend may be too young so it’s not externally exposed, but it will overflow and reveal outwardly.

Even when you’re dating, why do you look at their family line? Even unbelievers don’t think it’s wrong; these people experienced something in their lives. We look at the spiritual family lines, spiritual problems from the parents go to the children so we think it’s not there as it’s invisible, but it reveals itself one by one.  Everyone is lacking, no one is perfect, but this is the minimum we have to do. You have to know the answer, that’s the reason Noah was able to do “whole heart.”

If you can’t handle that, it’s best to stop where you are because life isn’t a game. Life is just butting heads, it’s not about money, but we get money from people.  Money doesn’t fall from the ceiling, you have to do business and it comes through people. Why do some people make a lot of money? Because they have a vessel that makes money. If I don’t have a lot of money, I don’t have that ability, and ultimately it’s the person. What’s the problem with the person? It’s a spiritual problem.  If you can’t see that, you’ll see their exterior and think they’re okay, then you haven’t seen the field. It’s impossible to stake my life on missions and evangelism that save people, right?

1 Timothy 4:15

Give yourself wholly to them.  What does “diligence” mean here? Diligence regarding your faith in Christ.  You need to show your diligence through faith in the covenant, give yourself wholly to them. May you have the blessing of staking your life on the covenant.

We’re bound to stake our lives on something, but you must stake your life on the covenant of God, because that covenant is undoubtedly fulfilled.  Whatever you are thinking of right now, it’s not eternal and it’s not perfect so it cannot secure you at all. People think about getting really rich, or you try to pretend you have some honest sense of frugality, “I don’t have money,” but you have greed, because mankind has nothing worth staking their life on. All those things are found in a state separated from God, but they don’t trickle down. Enjoy the blessing of staking your life on the covenant.

Father God, thank You.  May we have the evangelist’s life as an answer. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.
