Life of the Evangelist – Only

The evangelist looks at the problems in their family and the family line, and the family becomes the greatest footstool to discover Christ. If you discover Christ, then that family is a blessing, but if you haphazardly understand Christ, then that family has no answer. It’s evidence you have not reached an answer in Christ. 

Only Christ

This why we say “Only Christ,” but because these are the problems of life.  This isn’t taught in schools, and because they’re invisible you can’t see them.

John 19:30

This is the beginning, constantly enjoy this.  You must be able to confirm this and to give this as an answer to others, then there is something you have to throw away. It’s only Christ, but you’re centered on yourself, materialism, and success, so evangelism cannot continue. Without a doubt, everything is finished, but without this, this becomes a channel for Satan.

If you believe in and confess Christ, everything is finished and the gates of Hades cannot overcome. I myself am not a rock, but my life must be set on the Rock of Christ.  My life built on money and other things will fall.  My life built on ideologies will fall. If you build your life on anything in the world, it will crumble without a doubt.

It’s not that I don’t need myself or money, but I don’t need to be centered on it.  It’s not that I don’t need success, but I’m centered on only Christ, and everything is contained within only Christ, including money, material things, and success.  Everything is within Christ.  “Everything” includes everything people talk about, even now. You must firmly have this answer to begin with other things. Once you have this answer, you’ll have the answer of the Kingdom of God. 

 If a person is very active and becomes inactive, there’s a big gap, so they may feel they want to die.  It’s not that they lived haphazardly before, but they lived with a different identity in the past, so even if their spouse says something, it’s not an answer.  These are the things we talked about in our Darakbang meeting, and the only answer is to continue to listen to God’s Word.

“Oh, I’m dead.” But it’s the “me” that is dead, “now that I’m dead, I can see.”  There’s no professor in front of Christ, it’s not about getting rid of yourself like an ascetic, but you receive that Jesus Christ’s death is enough. It’s the “me” God made. If I’m filled with my thoughts, how can I be filled with God’s kingdom?  God’s Kingdom controls me with His Word, how?  In Hebrews 1:4 says that God controls the universe with His Word. When He created the universe, it was with His Word and everything moved.  Therefore, the ones who have the answers of only Christ are bound to receive the Word of God.

Word

You must confirm only Christ every time.  I should have died on the cross, but instead, the Lamb Jesus Christ died for me, so I don’t need myself. I need Christ Who lives in me.  I don’t need my thoughts, I need the Word of the Kingdom of God.

Mission

It’s the mission, a plan for my life to break down the kingdom of Satan with God’s Word, and that’s why the Apostle Paul would speak for two years about Jesus Christ and the things pertaining to God’s Kingdom. Whether he was in a region for a few years or a few days, he only spoke about God’s Kingdom and only Christ.  Some people read the Bible hundreds of times and that might not be bad, but we’ve gone astray. You have to have your answer in Christ, and then without a doubt, He will give us the answer of the Kingdom. When the Word takes hold of you and leads you forward, the Kingdom of God reigns over me, just as President Biden rules over America.

America has laws, and we follow the laws; the President is also under the law.  We follow the laws of God.  There are many different words, but in this location and time schedule, God gives me the Word.  The evidence is the Holy Spirit that breaks down the devil’s work, the Kingdom of God is upon me and the Word.

Only Holy Spirit

This is the method.  Praying without the covenant, it will be very strange, like mysticism. But someone with the gospel, they have the accurate prayer content.  The Holy Spirit has no choice but to work, and the five powers have no choice but to follow you.  Everything is contained within these three things.  Whether you do this for one day, one week, or one year, you do this. If you want to go into the Word of God, you must be established in the church.  What would you do on your own? God gives you the Word every week and these three things are the most basic.

Once you have these three things, the rest of your life will follow. Life is not something you create, but it simply follows.

Heavenly Mandate, Calling, Mission

Other things may change; the heavenly mandate doesn’t change, but the calling does.  I may change my job or my ministries, but these come as the answer to the life of the evangelist.  It’s not saying to do something legalistically, if you have the three only’s, the rest of your lifestyle will naturally follow.  That’s my own mental strength; it’s not grace, but if you receive grace within these three only’s, you’ll see the difference between the gospel and legalism.

You’re using your willpower but it won’t work one day.  But if you receive God’s grace, you’re bound to follow.  God’s grace is important.  When the three only’s go into you by faith, then even if someone tells you to not do it, you’ll be worried about other things, “While I’m in this position, I have to do this much.” Look at Ananias and Sapphira, they used their own thoughts and greed.  This must be done with God’s grace.

If a problem comes, it’s rightful because you hold onto something other than Christ, and it necessarily arrives at this time schedule. But if you hold onto only Jesus Christ, you will necessarily enter into God’s kingdom, and missions and evangelism will arise. It’s not about whether you should do it or not. That’s not what the Bible is trying to tell you.  For example, when Jesus Christ sent the disciples out in pairs, it’s part of the process, but was it unnecessary? It was necessary, but it wasn’t everything. But when they went into Mark’s Upper Room, God worked. Until then, it’s just practice, just part of the process.

One Heart, Whole Heart, Continuation

 The one who continues will win. If you are within Christ, then God will work in His time.  But if you cannot have continuation, you will be out of this path, with no answer. 

Only

We escaped through the gospel but we go back to religion and legalism. Only the gospel. That means in terms of religion or legalism, we’re speaking of the gospel. This is the gospel life, not a legalistic life. It is not a standard based on the righteousness or actions of humans.  If you want to put this into practice, let’s say there’s a problem in the church. You have to experience the gospel there.  Otherwise, you’re not able to experience it and you’re legalistic? That person’s flaws seem so big.

If you do something wrong, the devil will crawl into them and there will constantly be division. What’s the gospel? She’s lacking, she needs the gospel, and all I have to do is give her the Word and pray for her. It’s scary inside, you have the gospel but you can’t experience it. You’re oppressed with guilt and you can’t experience the gospel, even after the Exodus, you have to confirm the Passover, otherwise you’ll go back into legalism or religion.

Religion and legalism block the gospel.  The reason the saved people of God will fall is because of religion and legalism.  The gospel is not being proclaimed because people are trying to do human goodness, then Satan enters the church.  Why are churches closing their doors?  We can say a lot of things, but they don’t have the gospel. I mean, of course, they have salvation, but I’m not talking about salvation; they’re not gospelized. They’re materialistic and the gospel has disappeared.

It’s because they’re not centered on the gospel, then you get sent to Egypt. We’re seized by demons and the churches are crumbling and closing down.  Some churches try to have revivals without the gospel, but later on, even companies that don’t have the gospel could have more employees, and you can develop with human abilities; that’s not what the Bible is talking about.  What is the gospel? It’s not about the numbers, but it’s about the gospel, what God is doing through the gospel, and this will continuously bear fruit. That’s what this is saying.

No need to discuss numbers and methods.  If you have this kind of program or that program, feed the homeless people, they’re bound to gather. Koreans are so passionate about education that if you have a program, people will come.

Acts 1:1

Luke was talking about Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ must be “only.” There is no other “only.” Everything is within this, and this must come to me as my “only.” What is my “only” today? I’m giving the same message, but what’s my only? It’s what God wants me to discover, and that’s the gospel, that’s Christ.  That’s my only, even today.

You serve the church and even today, “I will do the ‘only’ of only proclaiming this gospel.”  Do this in the company.  Today we have Holy Wind, but we must have “only.” Why are we doing Holy Wind? We have to have the “only” so we can do this. That’s how disasters and darkness are broken and people are saved.  We do this religiously and lose hold of “only Christ.”

“Pastor, I’m a Christian, how could you say that?” Do your programs so that it elevates only Christ.  Then that’s why you have meals and do things.  You must discover your “only” every time you go to church. Unprecedented, never repeated.  Everyone knows Christ, but find “only” every day in everything you do.  You need to find the “only” connected to “only Christ.”

But if you just go into your jobs and make money, that’s not “only.” What happens if that continues?  Because you lose hold of “only,” you’ll be a slave, and you’ll go to church, “I know Christ, and the three roles, and I confess Jesus is the Christ, the son of the living God every day” but you lose hold of “only” and revert to religion. Everything is contained only in “only.”

Genesis 41:38

This refers to Joseph, there are so many Christians, but some are filled with the Spirit of God while others are not.  What’s the standard?  “Only” is the standard.  The fact that He was filled with the spirit of God was that he’s within the working of the Holy Spirit.  Why are there so many Christians but they do not hold onto “only” and the Holy Spirit doesn’t work?  If you lose hold of “only,” there are so many blessings you will lose hold of, even though they’re right in front of you.

I went to the West Coast Pastor’s Meeting, and two people were anointed as pastors. Every religion has this, it’s possible to think, “I’m a pastor testifying of the gospel,” and that’s “only.” But most people lose hold of that. You must find “only.”  How can we use this pastoral assembly to testify of the gospel of only Christ?  After everything ended, I picked a fight with Pastor Song.  Most people went home, but I stayed and chatted with some of the remaining pastors.

“Why did you choose Arizona? Is it because of your son?” He said many things, “If it doesn’t work out for me in Arizona, I will go back to Korea,” but that’s not “only.” God has prepared the people and facilities. Don’t say useless things.  I told him about the “only” that God absolutely needs me to deliver.  Then I said, “if it doesn’t work, don’t leave but stay until God works.”  Everything he said before that was unnecessary.  Even being anointed as a pastor was unnecessary.  What’s “only”? It is telling them this.

Even today, “God, what is my ‘only’?”  I stand at the pulpit, but what is my “only”?  It is not about finding a random sermon, but I have the unprecedented and never repeated answer that God will prepare, but people are deceived, “I have the gospel” and fall into a misconception. Find the “only” God has prepared.

On Thursday, there was a dinner meeting with pastors, and Pastor Shin Ju Park asked to meet.  Before that point, I was happy, “Now I get to eat and I have the gospel, and that’s it,” but I asked, “What is my ‘only’?” I found it, God created an incident, I spoke about this on Friday, I held onto this and talked about “only.”  He says he hears about evangelism and it’s only head knowledge, but I shared that there is “only.”  Every single word may be correct but you speak to fill space; “only” is what must be said that day.

His facial expression changed, his spirit received some kind of answer, “This isn’t by research but it’s by God’s grace, and God prepared evangelism by grace to meet with prepared individuals in the time schedule.”  That’s why it’s not a method, God uses those who have the answer of “only” and people are prepared in the field to receive “only.” Joseph went in as a slave and held onto his “only,” it’s not about going to church and working diligently. It’s every day. Whom can we find filled with the spirit of God?   

1 Samuel 16:13

David was anointed to be future king, even among his brothers. David held to this covenant, so the Spirit of God had no choice but to come upon him in power. Only Christ, only the Kingdom of God, only world evangelization, and that’s why he had the “only” that only the Holy Spirit had no choice but to work and the five powers were bound to follow.  The “only” God desires is bound to follow.

After time passes, you can realize, “This is the ‘only’ for which God asked me to meet with this pastor,” this is David’s and Samuel’s “only.”  Samuel was a priest, and his “only” for that day was to anoint David, it was absolutely necessary.  He did many things but raising David was his “only.”  Raising the remnants in the church is God’s “only” for you, and you have to find your “only” every time you go to church.  Find it when you’re alone or in your job, that’s the evangelist’s life.

2 Kings 2:9-11

Why did Elisha seek this “only”?  It’s because Elisha knew he had to do the work of God to raise the 7000 disciples, so this couldn’t be done with facilities, but he needed a double portion of the Holy Spirit. Then, what’s the difference between your life and a Harvard graduate? Find your “only.” Why must you study?  Only to testify of Christ, what’s my only in today’s studies? The Holy Spirit may work.

What must we discover? We just study and make money, so it’s not “only.”  Our lives breeze by in a religious or worldly way so we don’t have the evangelist’s life.  If you discover “only,” every day is the life of the evangelist. You don’t just devote for a few days, that’s not the continuation of the evangelist’s lifestyle.  Today, my only in my job and family.  It’s this Word. 

Acts 1:8

Later on in Acts 1:14, they devoted themselves constantly to prayer over one thing, that the Holy Spirit is bound to work upon.  They held onto “only” and at that time, that place, God will work, it’s Christ and world evangelization.  We know this but we live our everyday life.  Today as well, only Christ and only world evangelization, then only Christ will work. Do this every single day, that’s the evangelist’s life.

When you wake up in the morning, we’ve heard this from the prenatal and infant ministry message, constantly, without stopping, take long deep breaths.  Ask for the filling of the Holy Spirit as you breathe in, and for the working of the Holy Spirit in your field as your breathe out.  Strengthen your core.  But I didn’t understand because he’s speaking and says, “I do deep breathing while eating,” he should have told me what this meant years ago, but it means to put tension in your lower belly is how you do deep breathing. 

When I talk to him face to face, I don’t sense that he’s doing deep breathing, but yesterday he says he puts tension in his lower abdomen, and I wish he said that earlier because I was trying different methods.  So, yesterday I was walking and exercising, realizing that if you put tension in your lower belly, you become aware of it.  Because you’re putting tension in your lower abdomen, your posture is fixed.

Why do we do continuous prayer? Because there are so many things continuously trying to destroy me.  Turn the words of people around. If I try to fight, it will be hard for me and I will fall; I have to turn everything to God continuously.  At night, you have this quiet, deep time.  “What is deep time?” He told me yesterday, the thing that is “deep” is holding your breath deeply.

People understand through language.  What’s “deep food”?  Is it cooked for a long time? Just say that. “What is deep breathing?” I didn’t understand at all, but maybe it’s because if he says it once, we won’t listen to the message anymore?  Either way, I trust God’s absolute sovereignty.  But holding onto it for a long time is deep breathing. I learned this in Korea and I was afflicted, “What is ‘deep’”?

Exhale for a long time, then you will begin to pray while you breathe. At first it won’t be like that, but there are two lifelines that will save our spiritual life and our physical brain.  You save your spirit through prayer and your body through deep breathing.  You save the mental and physical, and you do this in the evening during a quiet time. 

In the past, he used to tell us to do it in the morning, but maybe we’re so busy we have to do it at night. Either way, we do that.  Whatever is right for your personal situation.  The characteristic of Busan people is that they speak with certainty and confidence, instead of saying someone is good, they say the person is the best.  They speak in extremes. 

It’s God’s absolute sovereignty when God uses a messenger like this.  Someone who is simple like me is afflicted by this.  But when God gave this to me according to the time schedule, it’s all part of my conscience.  I’m not just speaking here.  I am someone who accepted Jesus Christ and I don’t know the church, but I only knew about myself, but one day, I accepted Jesus Christ in 1995 while I was in the Philippines.  I realized I was evangelizing and getting blocked.

I used to meet with mental patients and they would break through with Genesis. I just listened to a video tape, “Can I do a mission home here?” without even knowing what that was. He saw what I was doing, I didn’t know God’s time schedule, so I just followed the tapes diligently.  “If you open a Darakbang, pray for 24 hours,” and I was a new believer, so I kept praying. I didn’t understand, so I would take breaks to pray, and I thought “biblical movement” meant to read the Bible.

But wherever I went, God worked.  I just did as I was told, and I prayed constantly because Rev. Ryu told me to pray constantly, and then whenever I go somewhere, I hold onto the message and everyone receives grace, even those who received more training than me and people were Christians for their entire life, it was easy for me, but after some tie, I couldn’t even go. They constantly watered y house and I was going crazy.

We had a team ministry at my house, Elder Yoo came to visit my house in 1997.  At that time, he sat down, “Let’s do team ministry,” so I went to Korea and began training for 10 years.  “Wow, there are evangelists like this?” It was completely different than first level camp training. I got greedy, “I want to change the Philippines,” but there was a completely different evangelism taking place through blessings of meeting.

Then I got a plane ticket to go to the Philippines, but I kept delaying it, but in November 1997, there was the Singapore conference.  We went into the field to do team ministry camp training, and I met a university student.  I saw this and almost passed out.  How is it that God prepared someone like this in Singapore and allowed us to meet?  I took this student to the conference and there was no question of whether I should stay longer.  I constantly was praying, “God, should I go in or not?”

I held onto two verses, Matthew 28:18-20 and Acts 1:8.  Only those remained, but God answered this way.  “Do this for the rest of your lives, make disciples and evangelize.  I understood that but I was so confused, “Park, why are you still here? This is a layperson training,” so I went to the missionary training Pastor Joo was a deacon at the time, and Rev. Chung Eun Joo brought me and One day, this changed into the remnant.  Then, I realized I had to receive evangelism training, and I ended up in seminary. It was hard for me to adjust because these people had been acting.  These pastors were just praising each other, but I was used to drinking, so I couldn’t get along with them.  This other time they asked, “Do you know what time the message

For about 2.5 years, I was completely wiped.  I went to receive training but I had never gone into a church.  I didn’t even know what a pastor was, I didn’t even know.  But someone in the newspaper realized, “

What happens? If you think about what has no choice but to be obedience to the Word, “Pastors who shut down as a result of this.  Some pastors only live for their responsibility, but I cannot. She enrolled in LA CC so she can be a social worker. It’s not like someone who was good at English spoke to her, but only by the Holy Spirit can she continue this.  She’s very close with the kids. There is an “only” God is doing, that’s what this is saying, it’s not anything with human methods, it’s “only.”

Enjoy what’s been given to you that day, it’s not the same, but you have “only.” That’s why my cells don’t age, because I’m always new, and my heart and skin all age.  But if your “only” is new, every day, your aging process will slow down. I haven’t dyed my hair, but there are other pastors younger than me who have white hair.  I’m known as the pastor who doesn’t dye his hair. It’s kind of genetic, but people’s hairs turn white starting from the side and it moves upward.
