21 Lifestyles of the Evangelist – Mission (Isaiah 6:13)

Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God

21 Lifestyles of the Evangelist – Mission (Isaiah 6:13)

Speaker Assistant Pastor Helen Lim | Interpreter Tiffany Han

What is the goal and reason for our lives?  It is missions and evangelism, and the goal we have is world evangelization.

The reason Pastor Park continuously goes through the evangelist’s lifestyle isn’t so that you can listen to a lecture and leave.  Especially in the evangelist’s lifestyle, he talks about the 62 points and the 7 streams, and if you don’t have the 21 lifestyles, you cannot begin to cover it.  How can you make the 21 lifestyles your own?

You do homework and study diligently at home so you can get good grades in school.  Though the work of the Holy Spirit takes place even as you listen during worship, I hope you will also take the time to review this at home as well.  Pastor Park has already told you a few times, but I hope you will take this home and read it yourself because these 21 life points are from the Bible, and if you do this, it will become your own.

What is the goal and reason for our lives?  It is missions and evangelism, and the goal we have is world evangelization.  Of course, because we’re on our covenant journey, we sit here and sometimes we receive grace and our emotions are even touched, however, the direction God is leading us towards is the fulfillment of God’s Word here and in the field.  Think about it a little bit. You need to receive God’s word being fulfilled in your fields, otherwise, you’ll sit here thinking, “Why am I like this?”  I believe that is the mystery of the 21 lifestyles of the evangelist.

What I’ve been emphasizing lately within the flow of the Word, and even our senior pastor said this last week, is that it’s not just the pastor’s word, but it is the Word from the Bible, and when this is fulfilled in the field, that is the working of the Holy Spirit.  Last week, I gave a lecture and said we are eternal witnesses, witnesses of what? We are witnesses of the fact that Jesus is the Christ.

[Problem] = All Separated Genesis 3:4-5 (Master X)

Rev. Ryu said this in the core message as well, but all the children are lost in worries and problem.  If you have properly been listening to the pulpit message, you should be imprinted with how the pastor begins his messages.  Pastor Park always begins his messages with the problem of mankind, which is that we are separated from God, and because we’re separated from God, that’s sin.  Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

> Sin Romans 3:23

When I first heard this Bible verse, I wondered, “We’ve fallen short of the glory of God?”  I took a lot of time to meditate on this verse, that we’ve sinned and fallen short of the glory of God?  Then what does it mean to receive the glory of God?  The Bible tells us that God created human beings to receive glory from us.  Ultimately, the only way we can give glory to God is to meet God through Jesus Christ.

Because we’ve been separated from God, we do not have a master or mother.  Because our senior pastor isn’t here today, our church feels so empty, but this is so temporary, that it’s like we don’t have a mother.  The way for us to glorify God is to have Him as our Mother, by acknowledging the fact that Jesus is the Christ.  How easy is that?  Whenever I say this to little children, all of them have bright smiles on their faces.  However, when I say this to adults, they keep their stone faces.  Kids will smile and cry and do all of that in an instant.

> Satan John 8:44

But the reason we’ve sinned is because there’s an entity that tricks us into sinning, in John 8:44, and these are the problem of mankind. Everyone’s in fear of the coronavirus pandemic, saying we shouldn’t go out and we should wash our hands. Of course we should observe those things. I talk about kids because I’m involved in children’s ministry, and the kids feel like they’re locked in their homes with their parents and siblings, and it’s like a prison to them.

However, the incident itself isn’t the problem; as the kids are trapped in their homes with their parents, they say things like how their dad drinks beer every day.  Even to that problem, the only answer I give them is this. “Why do you think your dad drinks beer every day?”  “Because he’s bored,” no that’s not true, “It’s because your dad has anxiety because he doesn’t believe in God, so you must tell your father about God,” and the children evangelize in their homes.  But the children haven’t heard this, so they become adults and look for marriage and happiness through their family.

Bible

Every single person has this fundamental spiritual problem where we think we’re our own master ever since we were born.  Even as I was listening to the message in the back, I realized that nonbelievers live such sad lives, even though the answer is given to us through the Bible.  It doesn’t matter how good or bad a person is; no one is able to escape the fundamental problems, and the only answer is that Jesus is the Christ.  There isn’t another place that gives us this answer.

Jesus is the Christ [Answer] Way, Master, John 14:6

= Liberation Romans 8:2

Christ has become the immediate way for us and has become our Master, John 14:6.  To us who are flustering around, blind in our sin, make more children and have future generations in the midst of our sin.  Jesus Christ finished all problems on the cross and has liberated us, Romans 8:2.  It is the law of the Spirit that gives Life has set us free from the law of sin and death.  Americans know how important the law is, and we have legally been set free from the law of sin and death by the law of the Spirit that gives life.  By the Word of God, we have been set free legally from the law of sin and death, so we are set free from the earth and we are of the heavens.

> Victory 1 John 3:8

Every morning, the flow of the message tells us about the throne of heaven, so after service, I exercise outside, thinking that we are the children of God who will receive power and the authority of the kingdom of heaven.   We can never ever compete with Satan, the spiritual entity.  However, as Jesus Christ died on the cross and resurrected in three days, it says in 1 John 3:8 that He appeared to destroy the devil’s work.

– Heaven and Earth

I raised three boys, and when they would go out and play and come back all beaten up, I worry with a mother’s heart.  In a worldly sense, I say, “I’m sorry that my kid beat up your kid,” but in my heart, I’m super upset.  But the fact that we were once controlled by Satan but have been liberated by Jesus Christ, there’s nothing else I can ask for.  Right now, I am living in the Kingdom of the earth and the Kingdom of Satan.  Christ has become my Master and He has allowed us to discover this answer.  Is there anything more that we need?

Only Christ

I’ve already spoken about the 21 lifestyles of the evangelist already, and whenever the Pastor speaks about these in the pulpit message, I become immensely strengthened.  When he says that we cannot receive the answer in the world unless we reach the point of only Jesus Christ, it means that we can only go to that point, and that’s when it becomes our own.

John 19:30

The fact that everything has been finished on the cross on Mount Calvary, John 19:30, is not something to be believed; but it is a fact that everything is finished.  A few weeks ago, there was a church officer who prayed for some difficulties that I was going through, and I was so thankful for that.  However, when I’m at home, this is my priority:  if it were not for only Christ, imagine how many problems, incidences, and crises are in my life?  The message we listened from the core message was a message for me, because Moses wasn’t called when he was a young person in the palace, but he was called as an old man on Mount Horeb, and that’s me.

The greatest field of all fields that I have is myself, and Satan knows this the best, because he has tripped me up with Genesis 3, 6, and 11 over and over again.  Later on, he’ll do it with his thoughts.  Pastor Park asked us the question on Wednesday night, “Is life about your thoughts, God’s Word, or a combination of both?” You must reach the conclusion to that question. Because Satan knows us too well, he digs into us through our thoughts.

Only the Kingdom of God (Galatians 2:20)

Satan showed very good words to Adam and Eve, tempting them with their thoughts.  Lately, we’ve received that our thoughts are analyzed deeply spiritually, that our thoughts go into our brain and deeper into our spirits.  It gets imprinted, and it transforms our spiritual state, and even drugs can take over us in this way, but it can all be changed through only Christ.  Only when we reach the point of only Jesus Christ can we reach only the Kingdom of God.  I speak experientially, don’t ask me about theology.  For 40 days, as Jesus explained only the Kingdom of God, He gave us the Word of Galatians 2:20.  When we have only Jesus Christ, then only the Kingdom of God takes place automatically and naturally.  If my thoughts and heart are in agreement that everything is finished, then wherever I go, even my breathing, is within the Kingdom of God.

However, why doesn’t this take place?  It is because I’m alive.  If we want to talk just in terms of time how long I meditated and prayed upon Galatians 2:20, it must have been over 10 years.  However, there are more times when I fail.  Though there are more times when I fail, this is something I must believe.  Pastor Park gave us the message regarding Jesus’ prayer for a few weeks.  Even that, I realize that this is something God will do. Galatians 2:20 isn’t something I have to try hard to do and pray for; it is the work that God is doing.  The moment that faith really came into me, I received peace because it doesn’t matter if I fail or succeed; it is the work that God is doing, and then we can see the future.

Mark’s Upper Room – Eternal (Witnesses) => Next Generation => Next Generation

Because we can see the future, we receive the strength to go up into Mark’s Upper Room.  For us, it doesn’t matter how much we try to plan everything according to the Word of God; if the Holy Spirit doesn’t come upon us, nothing will take place.  So, when I first began in the Upper Room Movement, I realized that once I believe and become a child of God, then 1 Corinthians 3:16 is that the Holy Spirit dwells within me, and this has been powerfully imprinted upon me.  When the Holy Spirit comes upon us, we are eternal witnesses, not witnesses of something like a car accident, but we are eternal witnesses of God’s Word until the ends of the earth, until the next generation of the next generations.

Acts 1:14

That is why we are able to go into Mark’s Upper Room and devote our strength into prayer like Acts 1:14. If you really understand this, then you will see it in the way that people are giving worship. Right now, people aren’t able to gather in the church because of the laws of the coronavirus that we have to keep, but there’s a difference in people who watch in their pajamas and people who watch it in real-time.

Heavenly Mandate, Calling, Mission

From here, we naturally receive our heavenly mandate.  As we receive the faith that Galatians 2:20 is the work that God does, we naturally receive our heavenly mandate.  At that time, as we ask the question, “Then what must I do?” I receive my calling.  I think we’re on “mission” today, isn’t that right?  Pastor Park always says this, so I hope you will look up Isaiah 6:13 with me even though you know it already.

“Holy seed.”  It is the stump. Even as I go do my ministry, you are in great despair and let your imaginations run wild because of the coronavirus pandemic.  However, even if everything you’re imaging does take place, God has promised that the remnant will always remain.  Then what is the work that I must do? It is to pray 24 hours for those remnants and to do everything to support them.

I won’t go through all the verses, but let’s look at Isaiah 43:12.  In Matthew 16:16-18, Jesus Christ says, “on this rock I will raise My church,” the main character is always the Lord.  However, even though we confess we know Jesus Christ, whenever we go home to our fields, we make Jesus Christ our Master who has saved us from the fundamental problems, and this is why it says in Isaiah 43:12 that He is the one who has declared, saved, and proclaimed.  No other foreign god.

What does it mean to serve idols and what does it mean for us to be our own masters?  It means we serve Satan, not the true God.  One remnant said, “I can’t believe that God is the only God; I only grew up in the Upper Room Movement and heard that Jesus is the Christ.”  I only regret that I couldn’t have team ministry to understand that remnant at her level.  I hope you will remember this Bible verse, that God is the LORD.  This isn’t something that some teachers are saying, but the LORD declares that He is God.

God is saying that He is doing His work Himself, so this is the reason why I can’t keep silent for the rest of my life, but I must testify of this. Whenever these words come out, even though I’m 80 years old, I have so much strength.  Many people say that they’re sick and in pain, and I’m like that too, sometimes.  But because I’m 80 years old and it’s the time for me to receive those ailments, because I’m the witness who will do world evangelization for God, God will use me and heal me.  When God is done using me, I go to God’s Kingdom. I have no worries.  There are no worries whether my fingers hurt or my knees hurt, because when I’m not able to evangelize anymore, that is when God will take me.  I am a children’s minister, but if you ask me to minister to elderly grandmas and grandpas, I have so much to say.

Acts 1:14

Finally, let us look at Acts 1:8.  Even just with this one verse alone, we are unlimited in our knowledge and ability to become witnesses for eternity. These eternal witnesses gathered in Mark’s Upper Room in the Early Church and devoted to prayer in Acts 1:14.  Not only do we just have the name, “Antioch Mission Church,” but we are the eternal witnesses who devote all our strength to gather, of course obeying all the laws, but to testify to the world of what? The answer to all mankind’s problems, whether someone is old or young; the answer is Jesus Christ.

One thing I am overly thankful to God for is that our church has this system where we have remnant leaders receiving training for this purpose.  Right now, in this age, we’re not able to meet people physically, so we can carry out evangelism and missions by inviting people to our systems, through zoom or through YouTube, whether it’s the first or second service message, according to their level.

In the past, when we wanted to receive training, we would have to fly to Korea.  For so many years, I suffered so much like that, and I know God loves me so much, and so He brings these systems to the church, and all I have to say is, “Welcome, come here!” It shouldn’t just be once, but it should be done continuously.

I heard that Joel entered the Young Adult regional church, and because this is the role of the remnants and they are coming in, my role is to only ask the remnant leaders to do this and that.  Thank you, let us pray.

Prayer

God, we thank You so much.  Thank You for giving us only Jesus Christ, the greatest mystery in the entire world.  We thank You for allowing us to live every single day of our lives in true happiness, receiving the glory and blessings of the Kingdom of God, even as we live in the kingdom of the world and the kingdom of Satan.  Thank You for giving us this mission.  Please help us so we may take hold of Your mission so we can listen to Your voice and stand anew.  We know that there is something the Antioch Mission Church must do in this age, so we pray that You will give us the strength to gather and to work for this purpose.  We pray that You will allow each of us to arise together and go together to save the 237 nations, healing, and summit. In Jesus Christ’s name we pray, amen.
